SIN Metal Night

SIN is Glasgow's only club night devoted to heavy metal! Each month we bring you four live bands and two rooms of music with DJs Scott (Achren) and Quzzy (Co-Exist). Last SIN of 2008! Fri Nov 28th

That's right folks, due to scheduling, a December SIN would fall between Christmas and New Year. That means that November SIN will be the last headbangers' party of 2008. LinkNot to worry, though, we've got a beast of a live lineup, kickarse DJs and cheap booze lined up for you lucky, lucky people!

Playing live:

SAVAGE MESSIAH - http://www.myspace.com/savagemessiahmetal

UK thrash's best kept secret! The hardest, fastest, tightest old school thrash metal currently to be found on these shores. These guys are coming up from London for this show, so come out and show them how hard Glasgow rocks!

CENTURIES CRY - http://www.myspace.com/CenturiesCryUk

Melodic thrashing death for fans of Arch Enemy and Dark Tranquillity - pounding riffs, flying solos. Unmissable!

DAEMONOLITH - http://www.myspace.com/daemonolith666

Christ-grinding Glaswegian black metal! You may have seen these guys supporting the iconic Mayhem - gaining acclaim within Scotland and in the wider BM scene.

And of course, we'll have DJs Quzzy, Scott, Dawnimatrix and Vinyl Vandal bringing you Scotland's hardest hitting mix of hard rock, heavy metal and industrial to dance, mosh and bang your head to - with drinks from £1.20!

See you there, headbangers!

September SIN live lineup

We've got a metal mixed bag for you in September with a live lineup that shows the diversity of heavy metal as a genre.

AMOK play old school thrash metal in the style of Exodus, Testament, Forbidden and Slayer. Lacking a trace of pretension, these guys are impossibly tight, catchy and hard-hitting. Guaranteed to have you moshing, headbanging and drinking like it's 1986.

FARSEER (pictured) play melodic metal appealing to fans of Gamma Ray, Iced Earth and Sabaton, but they're not your typical power metallers. This is decidedly headbangable festival-metal.

OMICA combine influenced including Pantera, Iron Maiden and Metallica to create the kind of sound that could fill a stadium. Anthemic metal at its best.

We may add one band to the bill, but I think you'll agree, this is a pretty strong lineup. See you on September 26th, headbangers!

Don't forget to make your REQUESTS!

Our DJs may look like homicidal maniacs, but in reality they're actually quite friendly! We've heard a few people saying they'd like certain bands to be played more at the night, and when we ask if they requested any tracks, they tell us that they haven't.

Scott and Quzzy need to know what you want to hear. It's your night, and odds are if we've got a track, we'll play it for you. Just remember our simple music policy:

NO INDIE
NO EMO
NO TECHNO
NO SHITE!

Glasgow Crowbar - RIP

We at SIN are saddened by the closure of the Crowbar - one of Glasgow's leading rock and metal pubs. The Crow always had the heaviest playlist of any Glasgow pubs and SIN staff and punters alike spent a lot of time there. Thanks for your contribution to the Scottish metal scene over the last couple of years guys, you will be missed!
